The Automatics Lab of IPN (IPNlas) has strong skills in the field of electronics, automation, robotics and instrumentation, which has contributed to the digitization of the Portuguese economy, in line with market needs.

In the development of its activities, IPNlas uses as a basis the excellence of academic studies, to generate innovation according to the needs of the industry, contributing to the increase of the technological maturity of the solutions developed.

In order to reinforce its technological and scientific skills, IPNlas is looking for candidates who demonstrate a high degree of technical-scientific knowledge in Cybersecurity for IoT (Internet of Things) with a special interest in IoMT (Internet of Medical Things). Knowledge in the regulatory area for medical devices, in particular the IEC standards (62443- 4-2:2019 - Security for industrial automation and control systems - Part 4-2: Technical security requirements for IACS componentes e IEC 60601-1: 2020 Medical electrical equipment - Part 1: General requirements for basic safety and essential performance.), is valued.

Profiles:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physical Engineering or similar;
  • Knowledge of electronics, automation and related areas (e.g., digital control, etc.);
  • Interest in cybersecurity in cyberphysical devices;
  • Proficient in English

Preferred Factors:

  • Experience in medical devices regulatory affairs
  • Experience in electromedical equipment development/validation
  • Have received Research Awards or Grants in the last 5 years;
