Ferring is opening an IT Center of Excellence (CoE) in Lisbon, Portugal, to build and operate a new global ERP platform and we are looking to attract qualified and motivated candidates. To enable Ferring to keep up with new demands, changes and business needs, we are now recruiting a professional team that will implement the new ERP in countries throughout the world as well as its central and support functions. The ERP program is expected to run for at least four years and the scope of the new team?s work will include global implementation, as well as on-going operation and maintenance. In addition, the IT CoE in Lisbon will be an integral part of Ferring?s Global IT Function.
Your new role
The primary responsibility of the Manager, Application Management is to act as a servant leader / people manager by providing guidance and support to a team of 7+ internal/external SAP Finance & Procurement application experts (Analysts/Architects).
The Manager, Application Management is responsible for the integrity and stability of the critical ?OneERP? solutions/system?s portfolio throughout the Ferring ?OneERP? / Global SAP system design and implementation journey.
Afterwards, he/she will ensure support & maintenance related activities are carried out efficiently and in compliance (GXP/GMP, FDA 21 CFR part 11) across the defined Finance & Source-to-Pay (S2P) global business processes and following up/meeting the department budget objectives.
The Manager, Application Management is playing a key role in maintaining excellent relationships and communicating with different stakeholders as well as demonstrates strong leadership and planning capabilities.
In your role, you will be expected to manage, develop the team and define together with global IT the new SAP / OneERP CoE operational processes and maintain the required staff. Ensure the integration between the different applications in scope and support any solution selection/vendor RFP process as required; provide guidelines, procedures and standards for the application management of SAP.
You will also have to plan and ensure appropriate resource readiness for all program activities (e.g. blueprinting, configuration, testing, data migration, and cutover) support the technical component of key technical program activities (e.g. Technical Cutover, Disaster recovery planning, stress testing) with your team; support impact assessment of change requests from a system architectural point of view.
Finally, you will ensure system compliance, releases, updates and support your delivery team with technical implementation guidelines.
The Manager, Application Management will play a key part in leading and coaching across the SAP application experts, providing input and guidance, as well as actively participating, in the resourcing process and operations.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a talented individual with around eight years? experience in relevant systems, domains and/or process support and management, especially expertise with SAP Application Management. You will need strong leadership capabilities as well as people and team development skills, with the ability to focus, prioritise, problem solve and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
