You will work with senior leaders from McKinsey?s S&CF practice, solution leaders and practice leadership to incorporate their vision in the product roadmap, balancing short-term client requirements with longer-term aspirations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You will drive the product strategy, roadmap, feature definition, design and development of our product.

In this role, you will use ideas and expertise from across McKinsey, competitive intelligence, technology trends and client feedback. You will work closely with our product development and design teams to build the product with agile methodologies, specifically by developing the product roadmap, writing functional requirements, setting development timelines and ensuring appropriate quality & performance testing. You?ll occasionally be asked to assess technology partnerships and continue to assess build vs. buy approaches to new functionality.

You will co-lead the development team in defining functional requirements, including feature specification, design, and testing; the last two being outsourced to external vendors whom you will manage. You will also work closely with solution delivery specialists and other colleagues in business translator roles on these topics. In addition, you will be responsible for creating an attractive environment in the product team, building out the team to support further growth and mentoring younger colleagues.

You will support the solution leaders in high-profile client development opportunities by providing product knowledge, competitive intelligence, and evaluating new feature requirements. You will also provide these stakeholders with transparency on delivery and execution of the planned roadmap, including risks, dependencies and timing. Finally, you will be co-responsible for product operations, working closely with McKinsey?s technology team to ensure high availability of our assets for internal and external clients.

You will work as a product specialist/manager across assets in the S&CF Insights portfolio, including a special focus on StrategyX. You will lead the overall product development roadmap and will be responsible for managing the relationship with our development and design partners. You will translate client requirements into product features and manage the overall development process together with our lead developers and software architects. You also will take an important role in client meetings or product demonstrations at conferences to explain the solution's capabilities, and will learn first-hand about client needs.

Beyond StrategyX, you will be working on at least one more S&CF solution to ensure cross-training and synergies within the portfolio of digital assets in the practice. You will also contribute to shaping our portfolio of assets going forward.
