About the Role

As a Senior Internal Communications Specialist in our team, we are looking for someone who can play a meaningful role in driving communication consistency across our Customer Operations teams. This person will be responsible for defining and developing our internal communications strategy!

The Senior Communication Specialist will work closely with the leadership team to promote internal projects and programs, while also ensuring they are translated into clear and understandable communications for our Community Specialists Team. It will adapt and localise communication materials for global initiatives and support all formal communication with team members across EMEA Community Operations.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as communications counsel for a variety of stakeholders and leaders, helping them to both diagnose communication needs & brainstorm possible solutions.
  • Work with Employee Experience team to evolve our internal narrative and brand so that it is directional, conveys ambition and is relevant to our teams. Also ensure alignment with internal and external activities in our mega region.
  • Develop and implement an annual communications calendar.
  • Develop encouraging content that creatively tells the Uber EMEA CommOps story - includes delivery of events, presentation development, development of video, infographics, intranet and newsletters.
  • Develop effective metrics to supervise communication outcomes and leverage data driven insight for continuous improvement.
  • Drive, coordinate and deliver operational communications within our COEs and Greenlight teams in EMEA.
  • Work with our COE site leaders and GLM?s to build region specific comms where needed. Support CommOps managers in delivering important messages to their teams
  • React quickly to handle the internal communication response to crisis situations!
  • Leverage internal communication to connect teams to Uber internal culture, values and mission in a relevant and impactful way.

What You'll Need

  • Minimum of 3 years? practical experience and a proven track record of success (required)
  • A passion for people and excel at storytelling.
  • Bachelor?s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field.
  • Proven project management skills and ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent writing skills; communication experience in a highly proficient English-speaking environment is a must
  • Able to produce high-quality work, manages multiple projects and has the ability to stay focused under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Courageous, being able to challenge and influence. Strong stakeholder management skills; persuading, aligning, saying ?no? adequately; you can be a confident and fact-based advisor to management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to partner with & drive value for different and complex stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: nonverbal and verbal, informing, presenting, engaging, negotiating and advising
  • High energy, passion, and professionalism.
