How will you make an impact?
The Sales Effectiveness function is a key enabler to the success of the Commercial Organisation in realizing its objectives and achieving profitable growth for the organization. The Sales Planning and Compensation Manager is a pivotal role in our team, bringing structure, organization and driving activity both within the Sales Effectiveness function and across partnering functions to implement sales processes and initiatives.
In this key position you will lead all aspects of our sales compensation process. The main functional tasks will revolve around collaborating closely with senior leadership on plan requirements and recommendations, plan design, implementation and ensuring all calculations are accurate in order to pay our sales teams on time! There will also be a requirement to support other sales planning processes and analytics.
What will you do?

  • Develop, implement and maintain sales processes including Territory alignment, sales and compensation related processes.
  • Design, document, maintain and continuously improve the internal processes of the team to ensure operating efficiency and responsiveness to the sales organisation we support
  • Work collaboratively with peer groups & wider teams on other process improvement and data analytics
  • Deliver a European Compensation process to track and reward individual sales team members performance and drive desired behaviour to achieve commercial objectives
  • Own the annual Sales Compensation Design cycle, from making recommendations on compensation design to senior leadership through to operational execution in the calculations.
  • Lead, coach & develop a team of 3 Analysts to deliver the best-in-class employee experience.
  • Responsible for the timely & accurate payment of sales incentive & SPIFFs for 300+ sales colleagues across EMEA
  • Be a trusted business advisor, providing inciteful modelling & analysis, laying out options & recommendation to be used in key decision making
  • Work with HR leadership & workers councils on compensation-based matters relating to annual go to market strategy/tool implementation & T&C amendments
  • Rigorously & consistently implement company policies in line with specific country legislation
  • Instil a PPI culture within the team, improving opportunities to find a better way every day!
  • Maintain comprehensive sales productivity reporting and initiative tracking and establish associated processes to drive continuous improvement
How will you get here?
  • Bachelor?s degree in Business, Finance, Management or equivalent
  • Familiarity with sales force automation (SFA) tools. Experience with commission software desirable
  • Experience with business intelligence tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, i.e. Word, PowerPoint and Visio, Project Management software. Advanced Excel skills
  • Confident with data analytics and be able to simplify complex data
  • Subject matter expert in sales incentive plan methodologies & principles
  • Strong financial acumen combined with experience in AOP setting needed
  • Experience/knowledge of compensation systems would be desirable
  • Sales experience or experience working with a sales team is desired.
  • English: Full professional proficiency is essential. Multiple European languages desirable.
  • Experience or knowledge of SQL would be desirable
  • Experienced people manager who is passionate about providing strong leadership, coaching & development to the team
  • Proven capabilities in continuous process improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions and develop creative solutions for complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and presentation skills), be able to communicate at all levels
  • Track record to apply logical thinking to gathering and analysing information, designing and testing solutions to problems, and formulating plans.
  • Ability to manage self and resources including time and surrounding circumstances to deliver both short term and long-term goals.
  • Some travel may be required
