Uber Eats delivers the best of your city right when you want it. Until recently, we focused on bringing the best dishes from the local spots you love and the ones you?ve always wanted to try. Now we are expanding into New Verticals too!

The team is looking for a driven Sales Representative to support our sales efforts in this new, fast-growing New Verticals business within Uber! You'll be responsible for leading our sales strategy and efforts with regional/local scale and differentiated retailers in order to increase and differentiate our selection across different retail categories.

You'll work closely with a range of cross-functional partners including Operations, Legal and Marketing to focus on customer problems and improve our overall value proposition to retailers. As a Sales Representative in the New Verticals team, you will contribute to the strategic direction of this business, identifying what's next and working collaboratively across the business to make it happen.

The right candidate will be customer-obsessed, results-driven, with passion and grit, able to engage with all types of partners, expert in pitching and negotiating, and able to demonstrate multiple levers (financial, strategic, operational) to build the strongest value proposition.

What You'll Do

  • Sales Strategy & Processes: Co-develop the strategy and vital processes to scale up our acquisition efforts with the highest potential partnerships. Be proactive, creative, and entrepreneurial in looking for new growth or improvement opportunities for Uber;
  • Sales, Negotiation and Deal Making: Responsible for developing leads, engaging potential partners and closing sales with the most important ones. Lead contract drafting and negotiations aimed at establishing the foundation of a strong working relationship, including sustainable economics for both parties;
  • Results-oriented: Meet or exceed monthly sales targets. Set up action plans across the whole sales funnel to optimize sales efficiency and conversion;
  • Stakeholder Management & Partnership: Build and develop strong relationships with cross-functional, central and territory teams in order to contribute to the long-term growth of the business;
  • Hustle: Take ownership and do what it takes to get the job done.

Basic Qualifications

  • Between 1 and 3 years of experience in sales, business development, or other relevant experience (preferably in the B2B / corporate segment);
  • Confident in interacting directly with managers of major businesses and ability to build strong working relationships with external partners;
  • Ability to balance short-term sales achievement with long-term pipeline nurturing;
  • Ownership-driven mentality and capacity to cope with pressure in an environment where not everything is perfect yet;
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience building and growing successful partnerships, preferably in food-related industries (eg. restaurants, FMCG, grocery);
  • Phenomenal project manager who can build meticulously detailed execution plans for large-scale projects (eg. launching new products/categories and onboarding) and then deliver them to plan regardless of any surprises or ambiguity along the way.
