At GBS, we are on a digital transformation journey to shape the Shared Services Center of the Future. To this end, we use low-code development platforms like Mendix to fundamentally reinvent the way enterprise applications are developed and to create business impact for our customers much faster.

We are looking for a Solution Architect (m/f/d) to join the GBS Mendix App Factory team.

As an expert in application development and solution architecture, you will be working closely with implementation teams and key stakeholders of our customers and partners within multiple projects. You will be the go-to person in helping customers and partners understand how the Mendix platform can be applied to implement complex business processes and solutions. You will provide guidance to customers how to position the Mendix platform in the best way within their organization.

• Be involved in customer projects and counter more complex business requirements
• Support development practices and challenges in business solution delivery teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to help customers find the right solution (not the obvious one)
• Guide customers and development teams in designing and implementing Mendix technical architectures
• Provide knowledge expertise on all aspects of the Mendix platform: development, methodology, architecture principles, cloud, CICD etc.
• Support and coach our partners and customers on the full application life cycle of Mendix applications
• Able to communicate well with all levels, from C-level executives and Enterprise Architects, Designers and Developers

• Requires a bachelor?s degree in computer sciences, Mathematics or a similar information technology ? related discipline; Preferably a master?s degree
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development
• Able to explain technical subjects to non-technical people
• Collaborative and positive attitude
• Experience working with distributed architectures, web, microservices, and event driven
• Strong and confident technical decision making.
• Language skills: Fluency in English is a must have
