<p>PRESENTATION OF THE CONTEXT / TEAM</p>


This resource will join a team of IT professionals involved in project management, service delivery for project & BAU on data products delivered by Data, BI & Analytics Services for AXA entities.


Purpose of the team is to:

  • Ensure engagements are formalized and delivered to AXA entities using DBIA products
  • Manage project delivery and coordinate teams? activities
  • Monitor staffing and finance on both project & BAU

This team is in charge for the project lifecycle from presales to project delivery and the solution maintenance.


MISSIONS


This position will be responsible for the conception, development and testing of new applications, evolutions, and maintenance of existing components.


He / she will have to build the components in accordance with the Project planning and the different project Managers. He will have to ensure the quality and robustness of the applications.


This position will be in charge for ensuring the best quality of service on Big Data & BI platform, by preventive and corrective actions.


He / She has extensive knowledge on databases and best engineering practices. These include handling and logging errors, monitoring the system, building human-fault-tolerant pipelines, understanding what is necessary to scale up, addressing continuous integration, knowledge of database administration, maintaining data cleaning, and ensuring a deterministic pipeline.


Data engineers can be expected to have skills in such programming languages as C#, Java, Python, Ruby, Scala, SQL, Apache Spark system. They also need a good understanding of extract, transform and load tools and REST-oriented APIs for creating and managing data integration jobs, and providing data analysts and business users with simplified access to prepared data sets.


Development:

  • Design, build, test & maintain Big Data & BI components (Microsoft & Azure tools), with a context of high volume and high performance.
  • Ensure the quality of the reporting applications: reliability & performance
  • Autonomy in development, interactions with projects and maintenance managers (scope, planning, tests)
  • Following the best practices put in place on the platform

Reports:

  • Manage the relationship with business analysts, project managers and other developers.
  • Ability to work autonomously

Documentation:

  • Write and maintain the technical solution documentation
  • Best practices and continuous improvement proposals

QUALIFICATIONS

PROFILE


Technical skills:

Must Have:

  • Minimum of +3 years significant experience in consulting or development on Microsoft Data technologies.
  • Experience on Azure development: Dev/Ops tools / Datalake Gen 2 / Data Factory v2
  • Experience on Big Data: Databricks (Python, Spark, Scala)
  • Developper mindset
  • Skills and experiences on performance optimization on data treatment

Nice to Have:

  • Azure Analysis Services -Tabular (DAX)
  • SQL Server suite

o SSAS (SQL Server Analytics Services) ? Multi dimension (MDX)

o T-SQL (Transact-SQL)

  • Power BI

Non-Technical Skills:


Must Have:


  • Ability to work in an international context (e.g. project development in Portugal and France, project teams in France, customers all over the world).
  • Sense of commitment.
  • Rigor and ability to synthesize.
  • Efficient communication, ability to instill confidence.
  • Proactivity and results orientation

Nice to Have:


  • Insurance & Finance functional knowledge
  • Some degree of management experience

English: Independent user (B1 in Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)

French: it?s a plus
