About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Head of Finance to take responsibility for our finance department. The successful candidate will report directly into the CEO.

What you?ll be doing

• Oversee the finance function and take responsibility for providing ?added value? financial information that enables strong commercial decision making.
• Ensure current finance structure is fit for purpose.
• Assess 3rd parties currently supporting the financial function and optimise the structure going forward e.g. Payroll, Accountancy partner, Audit, Banking, ID etc
• Responsible for the production of monthly management accounts pack
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts P&L, Cash flow projection and B/S.
• Compare anticipated and actual results and identify areas of improvement.
• Work with the CEO and the executive team on budgeting and financial planning
• Prepare cost projections and investment decision analysis.
• Play a leading role in margin optimisation, ensuring effective communication across the business.
• Analyse and report on current financial status.
• Explore investment options and present risk and opportunities.
• Support with ongoing fund raising efforts
• Support with existing and future stakeholder management including Enterprise Ireland, business partners and future external shareholders.
• Assess supporting technology and play a part in defining the optimal technology required to support the finance function and the business across multiple locations.

About you:

• Well suited to an experienced qualified accountant with 3-5 years leadership experience
• Experience working with CEO / Leadership in an FD/ Head of finance capacity
• Has owned a broad array of responsibilities across the finance function in a growing SME
• Taking an entrepreneurial approach in analysing information and ensuring it reaches the business in a relevant manner.
• Experience in using financial reporting systems (experience of SAP beneficial).
• Used to operating in a busy environment where prioritising is key.
• Expertise in MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas)
• Excellent analytical skills
• Ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts.
• Demonstrable strategic thinking skills
• Confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information
