We work in Open Innovation and Startup Engagement team, our mission is to bring the innovation ecosystem (startups, academia, innovation hubs, think tanks) closer to EDP group. Your focus will be to select the best startups and manage their interaction with EDP business units globally.

The Innovation Investment and Funding is an area of EDP Inovação and intend to recruit an Investment & Funding Controller.

Main responsibilities:

• Managing the financial dimension of innovation projects including budget, funding, financial reporting, schedules, risks, and contractual deadlines;
• Building analytical business models to support innovation projects across several stages of maturity, from pilots to scale up, and supports setting up project KPIs;
• Preparing robust business planning by applying detailed understanding of commercial, accounting, financing, technical and quantitative skills;
• Preparing proposals to be submitted at the Investment Committee whenever applicable;
• Identifying critical assumptions that underline business valuation estimates and run sensitives on main variables;
• Setting up and leading the funding of innovation projects, including public grant application or the establishment of a new ventures;
• Screening and proposing available incentives to pursue innovation opportunities;
• Ensuring implementation of GDPR policies and other compliance guidelines within EDP Inovação;
• Supporting the Annual Budget process and Business Planning activities of the EDP Inovação companies;
• Supporting the Innovation Investment & Funding Team on the monthly close of accounts of the different VC portfolio companies.

Looking for people with the following requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Management or Economics;
• Minimum 3 up to 5 years of experience in similar roles;
• Deep Financial Modelling, Valuation and Funding expertise;
• Strong knowledge in financial accounting (namely IFRS and SNC) and financial analysis;
• SAP knowledge will be a plus;
• Good stakeholder management (internal & external);
• Experience in KPI measurement and reporting;
• Knowledge of Incentives and Tax Programs/Initiatives at PT and EC level;
• Ability to think strategically and act tactically;
• Prior experience with GDPR and Compliance thematics will be considered a plus but will not be eliminatory;
• High proficiency in English;
• Energy, enthusiasm, commitment, collaborative and courage.
