Job Purpose

The Financial Accounting Team Leader is responsible for supporting the Finance manager in the day to day running of all the functions of the finance shared services ? accounts payables, receivables, general accounting and reporting areas for the COFCO International Porto office, which include supervision the accounting teams; performance reports; period close reports.

Responsibilities

Ensure monthly/quarterly and yearly end reporting according to IFRS standards and financial statements accuracy;
Oversee and ensure all Accounting, Finance and Planning activities are delivered with high quality service level that meet the business needs;
Develop performance metrics aligned to the Service Level Agreement and Shared Services Operation Finance team to ensure client satisfaction and team delivery;
Deliver against the Service Level Agreement for Shared Services and review as per agreement;
Provide leadership, direction and performance management to the team;
Create a high performing and engaged culture within the Shared Services teams and actively monitor the organisational climate and engagement of the Shared Services team;
Ensure the development of work instructions to ensure department effectiveness;
Develop the skills and capabilities within the team and manage the activities associated with their career and succession in COFCO;
Develop and implement proposals to increase the effectiveness of services, processes and methods;
Drive the Shared Services model and actively seek opportunities to continuously improve the services to the business;
Provide finance support in regard to M&A activities as required;
Monitoring of Charge back costs while ensuring costs are aligned to best practices and other service providers in the market whilst seeking opportunities to contain costs;
Ensure the performance of other related duties as required.

Requirements

Bachelor?s degree or higher qualifications in Accounting/Finance/Economy or related area;

CPA Qualified or equivalent;

5+ years? experience in the Accounting / Finance field;

Experience in leading a team;

Accounting: Financial statements, balance sheet, PNL, cash flow, income statement, monthly/quarterly and yearly end reporting, IFRS Reporting;

Demonstrate strong skills including communication, listening, disciplined and organized;

Strive for continuous improvement and development of systems and procedures;

Ability to multitask and set priorities;

Strong knowledge of accounting standards and principles;

Pro-active approach to their work;

Integrity and trust;

Demonstrated commitment to, and successful achievement of business goals and outcomes;
