CEX.IO is seeking a Senior Scrum Master, who is naturally curious by nature and enjoys helping their team identify and implement the most valuable agile practices tailored to the team?s needs. You must be ready to provide the appropriate amount of support with the goal of leading the team to learn and maintain healthy agile habits and become self-organising.
Responsibilities:
Works with the product owner to align the team with the product vision, product backlog, sprint goals (that user stories are written) following best practices and other necessary information.
Creates an environment of collaboration within the teams that allows for open dialogue and productive solutions for resolving conflicts.
Champions continuous improvement activities to reduce waste and increase productivity. Coaches teams to conduct continuous improvement events.
Seeks opportunities for continuous improvement to the overall effectiveness of the teams and the organization.
Communicates organizational impediments to leadership and clears impediments for the team.
Embraces the concept of continuous learning in your own journey and instils the same in the team(s) you coach.
Facilitates work management ceremonies such as daily scrums, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Capture and socialize metrics and team health data to improve forecasts and help the team maintain a sustainable pace.
Help the team to size work, commit to it confidently, and maintain focus on the highest priority work.
Identify and remove impediments to progress.
Regularly review metrics, communicate progress to Stakeholders, anticipate bottlenecks, and provide escalation management.
Requirements:
6+ years of Agile/Scrum Master experience, preferably 3+ years of Scrum Master experience in Tech.
Experience with applying concepts from different agile approaches (e.g. Scrum, Kanban).
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
Ability to nimbly adapt to a dynamic environment of shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
Experience with tools such as Slack, Jira, Confluence, Roadmunk/Product Board, Zoom, GSuite/Google Workspace.
Previous exposure to modern engineering practices like Unit Test-Driven Development, Acceptance Test-Driven Development, and Continuous Integration.
Experience mentoring team members who are new to agile.
Proven track record for promoting open and constructive communication.
Creative and effective in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems.
Ability to collaborate with and influence people at various levels.
Sound understanding of Scaling framework such as SAFe.
Leverage skills from coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution, and more to serve the team(s).
