In the context of "giving users easy access to anything in their city", Glovo Express is our ultra-fast groceries delivery business unit. We aim to provide immediacy to all groceries product needs, delivering essentials in under 15 minute from our Micro Fulfillment Centers.

We're looking for a results-driven leader who can take our MFCs business in Portugal to the next level, owning category management and buying, warehouse operations, supply operations, growth and finance. You will act and operate as a startup within a startup, so you must be a builder. This is an exciting time in the ultra-fast landscape, join us in redefining the way humans shop!

Be a part of a team where you will:

We're looking for a Head of Micro Fulfillment Centers / Glovo Express for our Portuguese market. Reporting directly to the MFCs General Manager, you will:

• Oversee all in-market operations, commercial relationships and growth and finance workstreams, taking ownership for the MFCs' overall performance in Portugal
• Develop the strategy and implement action plans to improve performance, providing direction and guidance to all department leaders (operations, category management, finance?)
• Own financial performance and be the final owner of the MFCs' P&L in Portugal, creating plans to improve profitability
• Define and execute our assortment strategy to provide the most relevant assortment to Glovo Express users in all categories (ranging from fresh to ambient, frozen, hygiene, drinks, etc). Delighting the user with our assortment will be your northstar
• Drive improvement of operational KPIs such as delivery time, order quality, assortment definition, product availability, cost per order, etc
• Manage the MFCs local team (30+ people). Hire, onboard and train team members and ensure a high performing organization
• Define the geographic expansion plan and build the local teams in new opening cities
• Develop the MFCs business model with a 360º mindset
• Report into MFCs General Manager in Iberia
  

You have:

• Minimum 4-6 years of leadership experience scaling teams and business models, preferably with a background in grocery buying / category management / vendor management
• Experience in a senior role, involving team management, project management, and ownership of a budget and structure
• Experience managing and inspiring people
• 360 degrees profile: you feel comfortable discussing operations, sales, growth and finance
• Analytical mindset but with excellent execution skills
• Excellent strategic thinking, including structuring complex problems and prioritizing effectively
• Proactive, organized, and obsessed with details
• Problem solving skills, results-driven attitude, creative thinking with perfect written and spoken communication
• You love and succeed building things from scratch - blank canvas - and scaling them up
