About the Team Hiring

Finance Team, Spain and Portugal

Our Team is responsible for the processing of financial transactions; We are the gatekeeper of the Audited Annual Financial Statements

We are in charge of Cash Management (A/P, A/R, etc.) in compliance with Corporate Group Policies and local regulations. We maintain a low DSO.

We report monthly to the Group respecting the deadlines and perform analysis to explain the results vs budget.

We are supporting the local business and work with all the functions (Sales, Order Operations, Tech, etc.). Our role is to help the Country Manager to drive the business with kpi?s definitions in order for him to make the best decisions to grow and achieve the country target.

About the Role

Role purpose/Objective

The role of the Accountant is to assist the Controller with the smooth running of the department. Completing all tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • SALES ADMIN:

o Maintain customer accounts records

o Issuing sales invoices.

o Sending invoices to customers.

o Register collections and claiming to customers for unpaid invoices.

o Preparation of documentation for public tenders.

  • PURCHASE ADMIN:

o Maintain supplier accounts records.

o Process all purchase invoices.

o Prepare suppliers payments for authorization.

o Register payments in the system.

o Review staff expense claims ? check receipts and process for payment.

o Check credit card expenses.

  • MONTHLY CLOSING:

o Preparation of the monthly reporting for Portuguese subsidiary.

  • TAX:

o Coordination with external advisors.

o Review and control the tax declarations from external advisors.

  • ERP IMPLEMENTATION:

o Leading role for the implementation of new ERP for Portuguese subsidiary.

o Assist with improvements to systems and processes where necessary

  • Any other ad hoc tasks as and when required.

KPIs

  • Meeting reporting deadlines
  • Consistency between Accounting and Invoicing System
  • Days sales outstanding (DSO); recoverability of the collections.
  • Implementation of new ERP.

Responsibilities

Required experience

  • min. 3 years in similar role as accountant in an international environment.
  • Knowledge of accounting and ERP programs.
  • Experience in reporting tools (SAP-BFC is a plus)
  • ERP Microsoft-Axapta Skills are beneficial.
