YOUR VERSION OF THE EUROPEAN DREAM

(A) The Relocation:

As a European citizen, you have zero barriers for a life in Germany. After your relocation, you (1) only have to register in your district in-person. Everything else is done through your company: like choosing (2) your mandatory health insurance (Info: the insurance is paid directly from your salary in Germany) and getting your social security number. You could (3) just keep your banking account, especially if you use one of the digital banks like N26 or Revolut.

(B) Your Living Situation:

Living in the south of Germany and specifically in the city of Munich, feels like living in a large, cosmopolitan & rich city that is surrounded by incredible nature. As a software developer, you will be in a comfortable situation thanks to your salary. We will help you find a place to live and obviously we are always there for you with advice to make yourself feel at home. In general, you can and will have a great time just speaking English. No matter if you date, make friends or pick up a new hobby, Munich & the tech industry speak English.

(C) Your Office Location:

Your future office is in the center of Munich and gives you

3 minutes by foot to the local Fab Lab

5 minutes by foot to an Indian restaurant with a 4,4 rating by 1121 people on Google

7 minutes by foot to major (!) public transportation offerings

20 minutes by foot to the world-renowned ?Oktoberfest? ;-)

50 minutes by public transport to the airport

90 minutes by car to the Neuschwanstein Castle

(D) Your Team & Organization:

You will join a small team of around 20 ppl!

The startup is led by the original founder.

The Head of Software is also an expat in Munich.

The startup is well funded through investors and its product is already sold into +50 countries.

I call this a startup because of the vibe and agility. But, it's basically a young organization post-product-market fit.

(E) Our Offer for you:

(?) All of the above plus ?

(?) A competitive German salary

(?) A brand new MacBook or Thinkpad setup for work

(?) Company perks like free coffee, drinks and fruits

(?) A special deal for getting you a kick-ass bicycle

(?) We support your relocation with time & money

NEXT STEPS

Hiring Process:

(2) If you fit our search criteria, we have a *first call* to talk and exchange freely

(3) If we find common ground, I will connect you to the Head of Software for the *second call*

(4) If the Head of Software connects with you/sees a fit, he will fly you in for a 2-3 days *onsite experience* in Munich, Germany

(5) If everything runs well, you might travel back with your job offer.

P.s. About Me:

I am also living a version of the European Dream. I am living in Porto, Portugal for 2 years now and I am currently educating myself as a Frontend Developer. As a hobby, I run a meetup + podcast about the maker movement & the manufacturing industry. To finance this hobby, I help hardware startups and manufacturing companies with recruitment and strategic consulting.
