As our new Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for the Q-linea ASTar program and implement global marketing plans to support the launch of this new rAST solution to the clinical microbiology market. Responsibilities of the role include: forecasting instrument placements and consumables in close collaboration with the Sales organization; managing the relationship with our partner and manufacturer of ASTar, Q-Linea; planning and implementing awareness campaigns; preparation and oversight of internal and external trade shows; and building key opinion leader and early adopter relationships and campaigns. This role serves the global marketplace and provides leadership and direction to the global and regional sales and marketing teams in line with the regional launch plan.

We are offering this role as fully remote (working from home) and are happy to hire the successful candidate anywhere in the following countries/time zones: Europe; US (Central & Eastern time zones); Canada (all time zones). Ideally you will be based close to an international airport as some international travel will be required (up to 25% per annum), including overnight stays.

What will you do?

  • Lead the rAST business and play a key role with our partner Q-Linea; Deliver financial results for the Rapid AST business to our clinical markets
  • Develop the annual marketing plan for product portfolio; Ensure execution across the 4 ?Ps? of marketing
  • Collaborate with Q-linea on the product portfolio and product roadmaps, ensuring robustness of business cases
  • Supervise all processes related to product commercialization, and develop, coordinate and implement activities to make them work efficiently
  • Develop, implement and coordinate execution of regional marketing activities for new product launch
  • Drive strategic and operational business planning in conjunction with regional marketing teams
  • Measure the success of pre-launch and launch marketing programs
  • Develop and support lead generation activities including clinical demand generation
  • Identify, evaluate and implement growth opportunities by geographical expansion and commercial offer development to sustain growth and profitability goals
  • Build KOL relationships and collaborate closely with Q-Linea Scientific Affairs to plan and deliver market appropriate supporting scientific proofs (HOER, etc)
  • Collect and disseminate Voice of Customer to influence strategic direction of products, solutions and services. Drive customer centric behavior and tactical marketing execution
  • Be accountable for sales tools, including return on investment calculators, quoting tools, battle cards, etc.
  • Work with commercial leadership and training to identify gaps and build commercial execution capabilities for successful product introductions

Who we are looking for:

  • Degree in a Life Science, ideally Microbiology or Biology; PhD / MBA preferred
  • Fluent in English (essential)
  • Extensive experience in Marketing of clinical products and services (essential)
  • Expertise in analyzing global markets for new product launches
  • A deep understanding of customer segments and the national healthcare systems in which they operate, in order to apply value-based marketing techniques
  • Commercial track record in marketing, product management and product launch, preferably including high-tech product launch experience in the med-tech sector
  • Experience delivering targeted campaign initiatives, using the web, search, social media, advertising and events channels
  • Confident in building relationships in a complex matrix environment and to influence Key Opinion Leaders
  • Ability to listen and influence across teams (without direct authority)
  • Willing and able to travel internationally (up to 25% per annum), including overnight stays
