The Planning & Valuation team in the Renewables & New Businesses BU, is responsible for portfolio management, supporting investment decisions and high-grade Galp?s portfolio towards energy transition.

We are seeking candidates to lead the team, reporting to the CFO of the BU, being part of an energetic, dynamic, and collaborative group driving the ambitious growth targets of Galp in the energy transition.

What you'll do

• Assessment of investment opportunities within the scope of Renewables, Battery Value Chain, and New Businesses strategy;
• Challenge strategic rationale integrating financial analysis and business insights, ensuring high quality standards on the materials prepared to support decision making;
• Contribute to our portfolio growth through the identification of portfolio gaps and opportunities to cover them, and defining key criteria for opportunity scouting and assessment methodology for potential targets;
• Support the investment?s selection, negotiation and execution process.

What you'll need

• Highly motivated and proven track record of strategy development, incl. market and portfolio analysis, setting targets in order to grow and improve the business;
• Solid experience in Strategy, M&A, Business Development or Finance in the energy sector;
• Leadership and team management experience;
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, impact and influence different stakeholders;
• Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate complex themes into meaningful narratives supported by data and insight. Ability to work at the bigger picture level as well as focus on details.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English is a must, as English is the working language;
• Capacity to deliver high quality outputs, even when dealing with high volume of work and tight deadlines;
• Team player, resilient and with strong business and personal ethics.
