POSITION SCOPE

Reporting to the Innovation Program Manager, the Artwork Administrator works within the New Product Development Team to deliver new artwork in a variety of sales channels within UK and Europe, based in Lisbon. This position will coordinate the delivery of all branded and private label artwork while acting as the primary contact for existing and new artwork, repro and print suppliers. The Artwork Administrator is responsible for maintaining positive business relationships with both internal and external customers and vendors and will leverage business partnerships to accomplish organisational objectives.


DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the artwork briefing and approval process from end to end, managing inputs from Brand and Innovation to ensure artworks are delivered on time in full to the highest standard
  • Ensures print on all packaging is functional, legible and matches the master artwork file or provided specification documents and provides approval as needed
  • Acts as a conduit and supports Packaging, Marketing, MRP, Suppliers, Repro house, Regulatory, NPD and Private Label Customers, ensuring all key deadlines are met
  • Provides regular updates to appropriate stakeholders on all projects, including updates on deadlines and pre-production trials
  • Manages 100-200 artwork components at any given time
  • Applies logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems and proactively address issues
  • Keeps manager informed both verbally and in writing of issues within assigned area of responsibility; escalates issues beyond scope of authority as needed
  • Manages relationships with language and artwork agencies to effectively to deliver on required business projects
  • Approve artwork specifications in PLM Fiori (SAP based system)
  • Raise new material component request
  • Applies continuous improvement methodology when considering artwork process
  • Attends print pass and sign off on colors where necessary
  • Completes ad-hoc support tasks for projects and on-going client issues as assigned
  • With a keen eye for detail you'll be assessing finished packaging to Print Quality, ensuring colour management processes are adhered to and liaising with Printers to optimise print where appropriate.
  • You'll need some experience of the main print methods used for food packaging, and complexities of using multiple substrates, printers and processes within a brand portfolio.
  • Comply with all the standards, policies and requirements of Quality, Food Safety and Food Defense.


REQUIRED EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 12th degree or equivalent as a minimum plus at least 2 years of experience working with commercial printing processes and branding
  • Experience working with Artwork Approval Systems
  • Project management process awareness/experience is preferable
  • Some experience in the FMCG environment
  • Office literate, especially Office 365
