Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).


An exciting opportunity to work in the ever-changing Telecommunication Industry. As a member of Global Distribution Network Leadership team for the Mobile Networks business group you will lead our Packaging & Identifications Solutions team. Team objectives are to deliver in an environment where openness, trust and autonomy are encouraged. Your team will have responsibility for the design of primary packaging for the Nokia manufactured products and tertiary packaging for all shipments from our 5 global distribution centres. Sustainability is a key focus area as we seek to reduce Nokia?s environmental impact. You will lead a team with approx.10 team members located in multiple locations globally.


What you will learn and contribute to


As Head of Packaging & Identification Solutions, you will manage Nokia global Packaging & Identification Solutions both operationally and financially. You will lead a global team, driving for excellence in operations.


In this role you will:

  • Be the leader of the global Packaging & Identification Solutions team, ensuring Nokia has the best packaging design and identification solutions to meet the needs of customers at optimal quality and cost (Primary/Secondary/Tertiary)

  • Manage people of global team responsible for individual functions such as packaging design, materials, dangerous goods, identification solutions etc.

  • Manage performance of the individual operations, ensuring customer expectations are met

  • Manage finance, ensuring budgets and financial targets are achieved

  • Manage supplier and leadership of packaging and identification solutions providers within our network

  • Deliver efficiencies via packaging and transportation shipment optimization and cost reduction programs

  • Continuous optimization of the Packing Material process and operations

  • Leader global initiatives to identify and utilize smart, environmentally friendly and sustainable packaging solutions


Your skills and experience


You must have:

  • Strategic vision

  • Significant experience in leading the design and management of Packaging and Identification Solutions teams;

  • Experience in leading distributed global teams;

  • Strong Continuous Improvement mindset;

  • Strong drive for customer satisfaction, quality and productivity;

  • Excellent communication skills;


It would be nice if you also had:

  • Lean / Kaizen mindset and knowledge;
