The opportunity
EY is currently looking for a Actuarial Junior Consultant to join our team. The job description is the following one:

• Be part of an actuarial strategic projects;
• Support financial institutions in their actuarial decisions and developments;
• Contribute to client satisfaction by providing timely and effective responses to client needs and concerns;
• Participate in client meetings and work within a team environment to deliver fully integrated benefit services to clients;
• Take a practical approach to solving issues and gaining client agreement;
• Encourage and facilitate collaboration amongst team members and promote an inclusive working environment.

Your key responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of key projects for our clients (life, non-life and pension funds insurance companies) on a wide range of topics;
• Adapt methods and practices to fit operational teams;
• Contribute to improve operational efficiency on projects and internal initiatives, consistently driving projects to completion while ensuring the quality of the work delivered;
• Manage your time and be responsible for delivering to both clients and internal stakeholders, keeping a clear focus on anticipating and identifying risks, and escalate issues as appropriate;
• Working closely with colleagues, you will create a positive learning culture and coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop;
• You will contribute to the development of EY capabilities in technical areas and engage with clients regarding the application of these methodologies to their businesses.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• A bachelor's and master?s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics or similar academic background;
• 0 - 2 years of previous work experience in the insurance sector (Life or Non-Life);
• Excellent analytical, research and communication skills;
• Ability to build team and client relationships and manage expectations
• Full English Proficiency.

Ideally, you?ll also have

• An understanding of actuarial concepts and actively pursue increased actuarial knowledge;
• Experience in reserving, Solvency II and IFRS 17 is preferable;
• Knowledge in programming languages will be valued (e.g. VBA, R and SQL).
