Tasks
Covalo is looking to add a highly talented and motivated Sales & Customer Success Manager to drive sales, onboard customers and handle ongoing customer requests. As one of the first sales & customer success managers you will play an integral role in ensuring customer acquisition, satisfaction and retention, by managing the full cycle.
You will...

  • Be a pioneer by contributing to an innovative marketplace and SaaS for the consumer goods industry
  • Since the team is small you will work hands-on to both speak with customers to understand their needs as well as implement these requests (this role is a hybrid across customer success, account management, and customer support roles)
  • Be the first and main point of contact for customers - customers will consist of a variety of companies within the beauty industry including small and large brands as well as suppliers
  • Work with the product and marketing teams to stay up-to-date on platform functionality and relay relevant information to customers accordingly; communicate customer feedback to the appropriate marketing or product teams in a timely manner
  • Improve existing sales processes, and help us set-up our customer onboarding and customer request/inquiry management process
After a first period of 6 months we will define jointly how your role evolve, giving you an opportunity to focus more either on sales or customer success.
Requirements

  • 3+ years of customer-facing experience in sales or customer success/support, account management, client services or sales - ideally within a start-up or dynamic, fast-moving business
  • Strong academic background
  • Sales & Customer Success are the face of Covalo so you must be passionate about establishing a trusting relationship with our customers to drive engagement and to deeply understand their needs
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills including managing the expectations of customers and handling critical feedback
  • Experience receiving, processing and organizing large amounts of customer feedback and communicating this internally to other teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish, support and maintain customer relationships
  • You're comfortable working in an agile environment and with cross-functional teams
  • Ideally experience supporting B2B clients in the beauty industry and/or industrial/B2B software applications
  • Ideally have a background in the beauty industry and/or chemical industry
  • Entrepreneurial, growth mindset and driven, hands-on attitude that takes full ownership of work
  • Team player with high integrity and ability to work independently with self-motivation
  • Have experience working remotely
  • Detail-oriented and a problem solver
  • Ability to be flexible if things change
  • Passion for sustainability and the green movement
  • Interest in the Beauty industry and/or other consumer goods sectors
  • Fluency in English is a must - further languages are beneficial
  • Bonus would be experience in Beauty, Food, and/or Home Care industries
