What role will you play?

We are looking for an IT Application Manager that will have end to end responsibility to develop, deliver and maintain business services within an agreed framework. This role focuses on the delivery for customer facing applications. Ensures the delivery of IT systems, while orchestrating the activities, definition, documentation, and implements guidelines for the service in charge according to the Siemens IT and Market Standards. Hands on approach, who oversees, plans, acts, and collaborates with the rest of the IT Stakeholders on achieving state of the art infrastructure services to be used for applications and can operate applications when needed. Preferred a role with technical expertise, able to coordinate, advise and even do configurations when needed.
We are looking for:

  • Drive digitalization and system automation with cloud-based technologies and strive for continuous service improvement.
  • Manages IT Assets ensuring maximum uptime, continuous security, improved service levels and regulatory compliance according to Siemens and Market Standards. Ensures quality of cloud-based applications and infrastructure with the initiation of improvements.
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external teams to develop and maintain infrastructure and application systems and services.
  • Partner with and influence stakeholders to promote simplification, standardization and innovation in cloud application infrastructure matters (i.e. Projects, Management, Operation)
  • Internal assessments / health checks / driving derivation and fulfillment of application and infrastructure related measures.
  • Facilitate methodologies, process management, training, embedded security and preventive activities (e.g. Penetration Testing)
  • Orchestrate the definition and implements guidelines/requirements and documentation for the area in charge
  • Manage changes driven by strategic or other governance requirements
  • Creates and manages application infrastructure budget, assessing needs, prioritization, and consumption capacity planning.
  • Facilitates and fosters a cooperative approach in the unit and beyond it; Creates an environment of trust that fosters sharing and co-creation
  • Manages the quality in a project/organization by defining quality goals, plans and applies quality methods and tools. Manages the continuous improvement cycle.
  • Uses risk and opportunity management methods; Identifies and evaluates risks and opportunities and risk mitigation measure.
To make a difference, you should have:
  • University Degree (or similar) in Information Technology or Computer Sciences.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Work experiences in international environment and business experiences in corporate environments (desirable)
  • Work experience in designing, implementing, providing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure (preferred Azure Cloud).
  • Typically, more than 4 years of IT Infrastructure Management and/or IT Service Management, support related experience with a proven track record, preferably in the relevant industry / market
  • Work experience in agile approaches/methodologies (e.g. SCRUM) as well as traditional methodologies (eg. Waterfall)
  • Knowledge in principles of information technology, as well as the hardware necessary for building networks, applications, and systems. Intricate knowledge in MS SQL and Linux.
  • Understanding of Financial Planning, Value Flow and Charging Principles
