Verisure (in Portugal known as Securitas Direct) is seeking a talented, innovative, hands-on and passionate Senior Accounting Associate to join our Group Accounting Team, with colleagues in Sweden, Geneva, Madrid and Lisbon. The role will report to the Group Accounting Manager and will be based in Lisbon. The Group Accounting function is responsible for managing all Group legal entities which are located in Portugal, Switzerland and Sweden, ranging from operational entities to holding entities. This is an exciting new established role that will be working together with senior professionals across our footprint and interact with local operations. The Senior Accounting Associate will be a key member of the team and play a critical role to achieve this objective. Responsibilities will include, among others:

• Cost analysis
• Accruals and Reconciliations
• Fixed assets
• HFM and Oracle reports
• Point of Contact for internal and external stakeholders
• Review and assure proper classification of cost center and accounts on Journal Entries
• Weekly and Month-end closing procedures including Reconciliation report
• Assist manager and peers on the daily activity
• Performing ad hoc Accounts Payable and Procurement duties as required
• Collaboration with local finance specialists to accounting, tax, annual reports etc. to ensure adherence to local legislation

Reports and organization structure

This position will report directly to the Group Accounting Manager, based in Lisbon.

• 
  Education degree in Finance / Economics / Accounting / Business with deep understanding of Accounting and financial concepts (qualified accountant ideal)
• Strong interest for Accounting
• Experienced professional with approx.. 10yrs track-record within Accounting in an international environment
• Fluent in written and spoken English. Knowledge of French, Swedish, or Portuguese is a plus
