Job Description

Your contribution to something big:

In this position, you will work on defining the next generation of IoT Architecture for connectivity of Heating Appliances consisting of connectivity interfaces, protocols, backend and cloud infrastructure and also integration with some of our frontend products like HomeCom Easy or HomeCom Pro.

You will also work on architecture definition of system wide features from the IoT perspective from all the Bosch Heating Appliances towards the different IoT ecosystem (infrastructure, frontend, services).

Your responsibilities will include:

• Contribute to the IoT ecosystem strategy and orchestrate priorities and dependencies with team and stakeholders;
• Coordinate the definition of architecture concepts and decisions together with development teams and business areas;
• Contribute to all phases of the development life cycle in the organization, from requirements engineering to technical planning, implementation and maintenance;
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternative solutions and promoting alignment within team and organization;
• Write clear and efficient documentation and proposals.

Qualifications

What distinguishes you:

• Academic degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar;
• Strong background in IoT, architecture, backend, infrastructure, deployment and monitoring (Kubernetes);
• Strong knowledge as backend software developer;
• Knowledge on event-driven architectures, micro-services and promoting data empowerment;
• Knowledge on Cloud based infrastructure;
• Strong communication, presentation and organization skills;
• Nice to have - system security knowledge;
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies;
• Ability to work in an international and remote team environment;
• Team player for efficient collaborative working style;
• Ability to take responsibility and apply initiative to find solutions;
• Pro-active, dynamic and responsible attitude;
• Willingness to travel;
• Fluent in English.
