Tasks and responsibilities:
Administration of credit limits;
Evaluate and analyse credit applications and customer financial information. Assess credit risk and establish credit limits. Recommend approval/rejection of credit offers to management team;
Post individual value adjustment;
Administration of the insolvencies;
Review and evaluate accounts exceeding their credit limits to protect the company from future uncollectible accounts;
Communicate credit department policy and procedures to company personnel;
Support in the preparation of financial statements;
Reporting;
Maintenance of accounts;
Participation in project work;
Factoring analysys;
Factoring reports.
Leadership:
Team player;
Review work performed by Junior Credit Analysts and provide training;
Work effectively with people from all backgrounds, promoting inclusion and respect for diversity;
Build Trust and Partnerships;
Treat sensitive and/or confidential information appropriately.
Knowledge:
Good knowledge of IFRS;
Good knowledge of accounting standards in one of the following GAAPs: Portugal, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Netherlands, Switzerland, UK or USA;
Knowledge of regulatory environment for credit and collection procedure.
Functional/Technical Skills:
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field;
Good knowledge of English and another European language (German, Italian, French, Spanish and Dutch preferred);
Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office;
Effectively secure prompt payment from customers while employing commercial sensitivity, business acumen and good judgment;
Good analytical and Organisation skills;
Effective business writing and professional communication skills;
Ability to work in an international global work environment.
Experience:
3+ years of professional experience in finance and accounting or equivalent;
Experience with factoring;
Experience in F&A (finance and accounting) shared services centre environments preferred.
