Senior Project Manager

Your mission?
You will be in charge of driving the execution of project with medium criticality, according to contractual requirements and customer expectations (summarized in contract charter), to maximize the results with respect to cash and margin whilst delivering on time, in conformity with Alstom project management and execution processes.
You will be accountable for project QCDP and project EHS, ensuring Alstom legal and contractual rights are protected and also seeking and proposing to the Customer Director / Platform additional opportunities.
Your responsibilities include:
Securing and optimizing Project Financial performance (Margin & Cash) and periodical reporting
Being responsible for the project governance; define project strategy in line with contract requirements, including PMP elaboration and objectives allocation to Sub-Systems (planning, cost, quality, performance)
Leading and coordinating project activities and stakeholders from transfer to close-out including: proper transfer from tender to project and definition of Project objectives and main drivers (product/service performance, planning) to achieve customer satisfaction in the frame of the Contract
Resources managing: defining in advance project core team staffing, as well as your WP resources and also escalating when project resources available do not match the project needs
Team leading, including Core Team and when applicable Project Managers of internal and external partners: making sure that key project stakeholders are aligned towards project/ goals
Engaging project teams in the successful achievement of project objectives and strengthen relationships among them
Synchronizing internal partners and arbitrate when necessary
Alignment with contractual requirements and management of variation orders; arbitration of Q,C,D,P re-baselining and change management at project level and also managing claims and litigations if needed
Proactive risk, saving and opportunity management
Managing the project progress and its KPIs, and reporting to senior management, with transparency during the business/critical project reviews; you are the representative of the project towards Alstom management
Ensuring compliance with applicable rules, instructions and standards: Code of Ethics & Compliance, EHS, Railway Safety, Quality, Project Management Manual
Managing customer and external stakeholders? relationship which include continuously ensuring alignment with customer contractual requirements and ensuring contract management and variation orders towards customer
Performance measurements that include: Project Performance Indicator (PPI), Gate review Go on time / OTD- GR, Cash-in, Customer Satisfaction, EHS when applicable.
Your profile?
You have good project management skills and good communication skills. You have good knowledge of project management processes and of railway products and systems.
You also have:
10 years? experience as project manager in railway industry
IPMA level B (or equivalent) would be desirable
Master degree
Fluent English Level, Portuguese mandatory and Spanish desirable
Experience of working in and with multi-national companies and in different business cultures
Ability to manage customer relationship
Advanced negotiation skills, conflict and crisis management skills and also complexity management skills
Team management skills
Leadership and entrepreneurship mindset with results oriented focus
Knowledge of ALSTOM way of working for efficient process execution which would be desirable
