The work is to develop and analyze quantum security protocols namely in multiparty computation, using quantum random generators. The work to be conducted with this research grant is in the context of the QuRunner project ? Development of a quantum random number generator network server. This work is funded by FCT/MCTES through national funds and when applicable co-funded EU funds under the project UIDB/50008/2020.
Scientific Area:
Basic Sciences and Enabling Technologies
Group:
Security and Quantum Information - Lx
Admission Requirements:
The candidate must have an MSc in Physics, Mathematics, or Electrical Engineering. He does not require having formal recognition of the degree in Portugal. The successful candidate should have a research background in security analysis for cryptographic protocols and be knowledgeable in quantum information. The applicant must be enrolled in a PhD Program.
Work Objectives:
We aim for the successful candidate to help develop oblivious transfer protocols using physically unclonable functions to replace the usage of cryptographic hash functions. Moreover, we should also help on analyzing the security and comparison the performance with other protocols.
