The Transition Manager will lead a key workstream on Kantar?s Finance, HR, and Procurement Transformation Programme, touching different geographies across Kantar. The aim of this workstream is to manage the smooth transition of Kantar?s Finance, HR, and Procurement functions to a new operating model in target markets.
The role holder has end to end responsibility for all aspects of the workstream, defining and planning the transition, controlling, executing, and managing implementation and facilitating business change activity. It is a global role, interacting with senior Finance and HR Leadership Process Owners as well as business/ customer groups across Kantar divisions. It will require the ability to navigate the complex business and technology landscape at Kantar.
The Transition Manager will be part of the Ada Programme team, responsible for various methods and practices around embedding programme standards and frameworks that improve overall project management and delivery maturity across the organisation, and tracking and reporting the conformance to plans and expectations of Target Operating Model initiatives This role has a fundamental role in changing our culture around portfolio, projects and programmes and will be a key champion of new ways of working.
Key outcomes
Successfully leading a large and complex transition from existing teams to new teams in the operating model
Managing end to end Knowledge transfer from existing to new teams
Transparency and visibility of Transition status and delivery on time, budget and to scope
Effective implementation and management governance mechanisms across business transition project, with expected benefits/outcomes being achieved
Risk management across Transition phase at Kantar, including other functions such as technology
Assurance that projects are being actively managed and controlled
Main activities & responsibilities
Drive operating model execution (Transition Phase) of the programme with a focus on the business and achieving outcomes versus just managing a plan
Build and manage a detailed knowledge transfer plan with our partners
Manage the day-to-day Knowledge Transfer (in target markets if COVID restrictions are not in place, otherwise remotely)
Work closely with the business change, process, and technology delivery teams to ensure requirements are reflected in the Knowledge transfer phase of the programme
Track and measure the progress of transition and report back to the programme team
Provides leadership and management guidance which supports the transformation strategy and core values of the organisation
Acts as a change champion in target markets to engages with key stakeholders and support a shift to new ways of working
Helps resolve and make final decisions on significant programme related issues escalated
Liaising with workstream leads and senior stakeholders across Kantar to deliver against key milestones
Drive project delivery proactively balancing scope, schedule, interdependencies, budget, and risks.
Report progress, issues, dependencies, risks and make recommendations to influence decision making and to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realization
Managing third party contributions to the Transition phase of the programme
Skills and experience
Minimum 6 years of experience in project environment working across business and technology, including operational and execution experience with large programmes and operating models
Experience of running Knowledge Transfer both in-person and remotely
Desirable ? Scrum Master Certification, Project Management qualification such as AgilePM, PMP or equivalent, or a PMO qualification such as AIPMO
Excellent Microsoft PPT, Excel, and Project online skills (or similar)
Solid understanding of operating model changes, Knowledge Transfer, and familiarity with new ways of working
Strong communication and decision-making skills and ability to balance conflicting needs

Decisive, ?can do? attitude whilst maintaining a clear focus on problem solving and seeing action through to delivery
Excellent attention to detail, particularly in terms of data analysis and presenting management information
Must be comfortable to work on new initiatives and build from start
