Our client is managing a very interesting portfolio of real estate funds, with short-term growth perspectives. Assets under management are mainly premium offices located in Lisbon with long term core strategy.


Descrição

  • Monitoring CMVM's rules and regulations
  • Develop and review Fund Management Company (FMC) policies and procedures in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations;
  • Verifying regulatory compliance, having the knowledge of all laws, regulations and rules applicable to the activity of the FMC with the support of external legal advisors;
  • Generally supervising legal external support;
  • Adopt and maintain a direct relationship with the supervisory entities, namely the CMVM, complying with reporting duties, in accordance with the applicable legislation and sectorial regulations;
  • Assess company operations to determine compliance risk;
  • Ensure all employees are educated on the latest regulations and procedures;
  • Resolve employee concerns about legal compliance.
  • Internal Control
  • Establish, apply and maintain adequate internal control mechanisms, designed to ensure compliance with decisions and procedures at all levels of the FMC;
  • Elaborating internal control tests;
  • Regularly audit FMC procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risks;
  • Drafting monthly and yearly reports with respect to internal control (efficiency, improvements, risk management and fulfillment of the defined procedures).
  • Providing management control, risk assessment & reporting
  • Elaborate management monthly finance reporting of the funds under management;
  • Revising accounting procedures in accordance with the FMC's standards;
  • Defining a management control accounting to be applied to all the companies and funds managed by our client;
  • Analyse current risks and identify potential risks that are affecting the FMC;
  • Evaluate the FMC's previous handling of risks, and comparing potential risks with criteria set out by the company such as costs and legal requirements;
  • Disclose the external risk posed by corporate governance to stakeholders;
  • Monitor and review the business continuity plans to limit risks;
  • Advise management on FMC's compliance with laws and regulations through detailed reports;
  • Participation in Board of Directors meetings.

Perfil ideal

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Good knowledge of legal requirements and procedures;
  • Ideally experience in real estate funds/operations;
  • Ideally experience in Primavera/FundManager;
  • Robust knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint;
  • High oral and written communications skills;
  • Organized and very rigourous;
  • Highly-analytical with strong attention to detail;
  • Super sympathic;
  • Good English proficiency.
