As the Product Manager ? Pricing in the Connect Group you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and implementing a pricing strategy for all the products in the group and related to the group. You?ll will be working together with the product managers of each product and with other departments like finance, pre-sales, sales, marketing, legal, and wholesale in order to understand customer requirements, business models, and what is the best way to position each of the products value proposition in the market.
Requirements:

  • Own the pricing strategy for all products within the Connect Group and across other product areas inside the company
  • Ensure alignment across pricing strategies between different products
  • Gather insight on sales behaviour and price elasticity to find suitable pricing levels to maximise revenue and customer value
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, product, wholesale, and finance in order to develop a pricing strategy that meets the needs of our customers and the company strategy while also making each product competitive
  • Constant development and improvement of each products pricing strategy and business model to make sure Truphone stays competitive in a rapid changing industry
  • Work across the board with operational and business teams to ensure the successful rollout of a pricing strategy ? you will guide the price change into the systems
  • Support teams in developing go-to-market strategies
  • Evaluate trends to determine what consumers would buy a certain product or service in order to develop a product market fit
  • Conduct market research for existing and new products or services ideas in order to correctly develop a pricing strategy that is competitive and enhances each respective value proposition
  • Availability to travel to industry conferences in order to develop a deep understanding of the industry and how better to position Truphone?s products
  • Coordinate with product, pre-sales, sales, legal, marketing, finance, and any other relevant departments to ensure a cohesive pricing strategy for the success of all products
  • Collaborate with pre-sales and sales in contract negotiation and bids as well as proposal development to ensure that the pricing strategies for each product are followed and that any required changes are properly planned and rolled out with engineering teams

Skills and Experience:
  • A Bachelors or Masters degree in a technology, finance, business or economics or equivalent professional experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role in the telecoms sector
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience defining and rolling out pricing strategies for both B2C and B2B products or services
  • Understanding of pricing strategies and applicability of them
  • Understanding the impact of pricing on profit margins
  • Understanding of cost structures and their impact on profit margins
  • Ability to relate to both business, marketing and technical specialists
  • Knowledge on telecommunication and software industries business models
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Good business knowledge and ability to discuss solutions with customers and sales teams
  • Experience in defining requirements and translating them to operational teams
  • Ability to communicate clearly across different types of stakeholders, including senior management, customers, and engineers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Portuguese & English)
