As Payroll Specialist you will be part of our Payroll Team in monthly payroll activities along with ongoing projects and new payroll initiatives. With a lot of passion and motivation you support the execution of the monthly payroll for multiple countries with the focus on the accuracy, compliance and continuous improvement.

Your tasks:

• The execution of end of end payroll processing from the collection of employee data in our HR System to validation and reporting for the countries in scope.
• You are responsible for any payroll related questions including tax and social security topics from our employees.
• You work very closely with our external payroll providers and the third parties to ensure accurate and smooth payroll processing.
• You provide variance analysis, accruals and other ad-hoc reports to HR Controllers and Finance teams.
• You create internal Standard Operating Procedures and other documentation for the countries in scope and keep it updated for any changes in the processes.
• You proactively find ways to optimize our processes and take initiatives to improve our practices.
• You participate in ongoing payroll projects.
• You cooperate with the local teams and HR Business Partners and respond to complex questions related to country regulations.
• You support internal and external audits and provide requested information in a timely manner.

Your profile:

• 3+ years of previous experience in payroll, preferably German payroll.
• Up-to-date knowledge on wage tax, pension, social security and other employment laws/regulations (labour law) in one or more of the following FREE NOW countries (mainly Germany, Spain, France, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, UK, Ireland, Greece or Italy) is a big plus.
• Knowledge of HCM Systems, preferably Workday
• Eagerness to learn and affine to systems
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical skills, able to analyze and work with large data sets
• High motivation to support employees in personnel-related issues
• Strong intercultural communication skills
• You work precisely as well as independently and handle competing priorities with ease
• You are proactive and love to face new challenges every day
• Highly proficient in English spoken and written, German language skills are a plus, but not a requirement
