Job Description


Your contribution to something big:

The main goal of the internship is to give support with improving development of heat pumps and improve evaluation strategies.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Learning and understanding acoustic as well as heat pump principles;
  • Supporting the development of a new testing methodology to increase efficiency of testing;
  • Derive noise reduction opportunities on component and system level;
  • Assessing/Testing - Support acoustic testing of heatpumps according to ISO specifications (Sound Power Measurements);
  • Analysis - analyse acoustic data using standard acoustic analysis programs;
  • Innovation - Support the assessment of new materials and material combinations for better acoustic performance;
  • Simulation - use simulation tools in order to support the heat pump development (optional).

Qualifications


What distinguishes you:

  • Degree in Physics, Mathematics or related field;
  • Basic understanding of acoustical principals and wave propagation;
  • Basic understanding of rotating machines;
  • Knowledge in testing, data acquisition and data analysis;
  • Familiarity with Fourier Transformation and frequency domain;
  • Familiarity with MATLAB and Data Acquisition Software;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools;
  • Pro-active attitude and ability to work in a team environment;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
