Our history

In 1914, Bertrand Faure opened his first workshop in Levallois-Perret, on the outskirts of Paris, manufacturing seats for trams and the Paris metro. Since then, Faurecia has grown to become a top ten global automotive supplier, working to shape the next generation of mobility at every turn.

Faurecia as we know it today was formed in 1997 with the takeover of Bertrand Faure by PSA-owned ECIA to create a global automotive player. In 2021, with the merger of PSA and FCA and the creation of Stellantis, a new chapter began in Faurecia?s history.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Agent to administer product procurement processes for our company. In this position, you are responsible for researching new products, meeting with vendors, and submitting purchase orders. You ensure invoicing goes through proper channels to ensure compliance with our vendor contracts, oversee inventory control and vendor management, and when inventory is low, you are responsible for expediting shipments from our vendors. This makes communication and relationship-building skills crucial. Our ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in business, several years of purchasing experience, and strong sales forecasting skills.

Purchasing Agent Duties and Responsibilities

• Research products and compare prices from various vendors
• Track current inventory and order new shipments when necessary
• Authorize payments and forward invoices through accounts payable
• Track all purchases, shipments, and invoices
• Order products based on forecasts of sales trends

Purchasing Agent Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field
• Strong sales forecasting and vendor relations skills
• Experience with office software, such as Microsoft Outlook
