Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:


The main purpose of this role is to create reports and provide analytics to the Non-Trade Procurement organization to ensure data driven analysis and support a fact-based decision-making process. Various different data sources need to be evaluated on an ongoing basis and the results need to be distributed within the Procurement Community. Analyzing supplier performance and potential budget implications by combining internal and external data and applying business intelligence concepts will improve visibility, understanding and control of the adidas Non-Trade spend and third-party supplier data.


Key Responsibilities:


Support Procurement Community by providing functional & market insights

  • Collect data and conduct analyses, within Global Business Service team, on internal factors such as spend and customer requirements
  • Analyze historic spend data and identify trends and patterns
  • Generate reports with the respective findings, the scenarios considered and recommended actions to the respective stakeholders
  • Combine external and internal data insights to develop and perform calculations on industry and supplier cost models, total cost of ownership and develop sensitivity/scenario models to identify critical variables and impacts
  • Prepare fact-based negotiation packages as support for the category management team in the negotiation process

Support value tracking

  • Monitor savings (identified and realized) and create reporting on saving progress

Produce standard and ad hoc business intelligence reports as required

  • Execute, verify, modify, and distribute reports according to pre-defined reporting schedules
  • Research, analyze, consolidate and interpret data using statistical and data analytics methods to create information on business-relevant topics, e.g. market environment, operational process order management, RPA bot performance
  • Help create and communicate KPI reports within the GBS team on regular basis based on defined list of KPIs
  • Support Procurement organization and S2P with activity analysis and exception reporting, e.g. activities reporting of e-catalogues or user portal
  • Perform data analysis and research within SAP systems and interpret data to strategically support business needs.
  • Creates dashboards and communicate results to various internal and/or external stakeholders (e.g. management, customers, board members)

Manage knowledge

  • Secure knowledge transfers and exchange by storing and maintaining (analytical) project deliverables and templates in the knowledge repositories
  • Actively scan research databases, and communicate category specific news and trends to internal stakeholders

Project Planning

  • Roll-out the Analytics strategy for the NTP department
  • Partner with IT, Group Data Management, Group Finance and Global Business Services teams to ensure robust processes are in place and adhered to, to ensure proper Primary data governance
  • Ensure delivery and execution of procurement analytics needs across materials and services.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Excellent knowledge in analytics, e.g. analyzing spend, demand and savings
  • Extensive knowledge of procurement tools and procurement data structure as well as Financial and Procurement KPIs
  • Good understanding of savings methodologies and ability to train users on different use-cases
  • Good knowledge of project management and planning
  • Proficient with Statistical analysis and data modeling techniques
  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
  • Action oriented and solution minded team player with high degree of self-management
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage deadlines
  • Knowledge on Visual Analytical tools: e.g. Microstrategy, Tableau or Power BI
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP Ariba (SQL is a plus)
  • Passion to learn new technologies and stay up do date with growing trends and industry best practices
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:


  • A bachelor?s degree with emphasis on the areas of business, economics, finance, procurement or legal, or comparable professional education
  • 5+ years of general business experience thereof 3-4 years in the Procurement area
