OCGBU RFP Team Sales Consultant

The potential candidate will be part of the Central RFP Sales Consulting organization for Oracle Communications Global Business Unit (CGBU) responsible for Product Sales Support, specifically centralizing RFP/RFQ (Request for Proposal/Quote) or RFI (Request for Information) technical responses.

This team is responsible for the technical responses to customer tenders/bids including Technical Requirements Specifications, Sizing and Bill of Material preparation, Bid Defense meetings and maintaining a knowledge base of previously responded RFx. CGBU?s portfolio ranges from 3G Routing and DB applications; 4G/Diameter Routing; Policy (PCRF & PCF) in 4G&5G Networks; 5G Core Network; and Session Delivery portfolio (SBC), serving both Communications Service Provider (CSP) and Enterprise Markets.

The team interfaces with Product Management, and in this role it?s expected to help steer the Product Strategy to maximize product revenue, specially identifying product gaps.

Work is non-routine and complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills. It is required in depth technology expertise, in at least two of the product segments and cloud native expertise, with facility to describe the specific capabilities of Oracle Communications solutions and the level of compliance with customer requirements and standards. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.

Qualifications


  • 10+ years of professional experience in roles that require in-depth expertise of 3G and 4G signaling, 5G Core signaling, SBC, IMS? The prefered segment domain to cover this possition is session delivery (SBC, S/I-CSCF, etc.)
  • Results-oriented, capable to work under stress analyzing a lot of information and providing accurate and detailed answers to customer requests
  • Mix of business and technical skills with ability to engage and add value in discussions involving both technology and business strategy
  • Thrive in working collaboratively and cross-functionally, particularly with Sales, Solution Engineering, Product Management, Product Development, other key partners
  • Experience in account strategy support, and development and execution of value hypotheses, business case

Requirements

  • Deep experience with Communication market for both Communication Service Providers (CSP) and Enterprise customers
  • Deep knowledge of key technology trends including 5G, Cloud, SD-WAN and UCaaS/CCaaS
  • Capability to organize, filter, process and analyze high volumes of data and information, provide accurate answers to customer requirements and commit with strict deadlines for RFx fulfil and submission in collaboration with several teams
  • Articulate Oracle Communication unique value differentiation in the light of the communication market trends and competitor intelligence
  • English Language skills (French, German, Portuguese and Spanish are useful)
Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.
As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
