POSITION OVERVIEW

The Treasury Assistant reports to the Treasury Manager and has responsibility for various Cash & Banks functions and compliance work.
For monitoring bank statements & perform entries related with bank activity, in a day-to-day basis.
The job holder is also responsible to ensure transactions are timely and accurately performed in compliance with Company policy and legal requirements.

PRIMARY DUTIES

CASH & BANKS ACTIVITY (80%)
  • Perform all Bank Accounts activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Follow-up and understanding of Loans and other financial products
  • Perform daily banking postings including management FEBA, PNB ? Lockbox, JPMorgan Workbook and others.
  • Execute daily banking postings which includes transactions in the AR for customers, in the AP for payments and in the GL for all the rest
  • Responsible for all Bank Activity journal entries and guarantee that supporting documentation is in place.
  • Identify, analyse and solve issues
  • Establish strong network with key internal/external stakeholders and provide partnership through quality service delivery and timely issue resolution
  • Support the other departments such as RTR , Credit & Collection and Accounts Payable and ensure timely resolution of issues/questions
  • Projects - Works on special projects as assigned and helps with system testing.
  • Other duties as assigned ? Perform other cash and banks duties or assignments as requested

MONTH ? END AND REPORTING ACTIVITY (15%)
  • Complete month-end close responsibilities as assigned (JEs, account recs, etc.)
  • Ensure daily and monthly Bank Reconciliations (Bank Statement to General Ledger
  • Assist the RtR area on Monthly Closing Financial Statements preparation and reporting;
  • Prepare PBC list information for External Auditors
COMPLIANCE (5%)
  • Provide support for internal and external audits, including preparation of PBC work papers.
  • Ensure internal controls and best practices are followed
  • Perform the internal controls in compliance with SOX Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in Business, Finance, Management or similar;
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an accounting, treasury or finance environment
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English
  • Good knowledge of Excel
  • Advanced business systems knowledge. Preferably Prism / Procurement, JDE and SAP.
  • Ability to work with a team, take general directions from manager?s, focus attention to details, follow work needs, and adhere to established work schedules.
  • Organized, Motivated, Professional and Excellent Analytical Skills;
  • Independent, Proactive with strong interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with other employees;
  • Ability solve problems, maintain confidentiality and communicate at all levels.
