About the role:

We are looking for a Business Development Associate for our Fleet Sales Business Unit who will have responsibility for setting up and developing our relationships with key providers and financial sector partners supporting our leisure sales marketplace across Europe and North America. You will be focused on building financial products for customers wanting to purchase leisure vehicles from our fleet sales marketplace, while guaranteeing that we have developed viable business cases and closing new deals with financial sector partners. This role will be based at Indie Campers's headquarters in Lisbon.


You will be part of a growing team responsible for building our fleet sales marketplace, focused on growing and optimizing our performance and economics for all consumer financing products, ancillary financial products (e.g. auto insurances, warranty extension products, etc.) and property management services (e.g. booking fulfillment, vehicle maintenance, parking, etc.).

On the customer-facing side, you will work with our Commercial team to understand the RV sales customers and develop the financial products that meet their needs, maximize their conversion and guarantee strong economics for the Fleet Sales business unit and the overall group.


As a Business Development Associate for fleet financing, you will play a vital role in advancing Indie Campers' consumer financial products across Europe and North America within a high-growth, fast-paced organization.


Furthermore, the role is expected to track and report the commercial performance of the financial product portfolio across all markets and the activities against predefined targets/budgets to ensure our financing products are tailored to meet our customers' demand and business goals.


What you'll do:

  • Work with our management team to develop a long-term consumer financial product strategy in line with Indie Campers vision and business model;
  • Analyse and benchmark different consumer financial products per category, country, vehicle model and provider to identify best products for our customers;
  • Negotiate best-in-class consumer financial products across multiple countries (15 to date and counting) and multiple financial partners and providers (banks and non-banks);
  • Pitching and closing partnership deals bringing the best products and features at the best value for our customers;
  • Build and improve a robust reporting process and systems to accurately track all consumer financing products' performance and related costs;
  • Audit consumer financing products and related information to be compliant and to drive product improvements;
  • Be the point of contact for all related insurance topics and support other departments within Indie Campers.

Who you are:

  • Academic background in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering or similar;
  • 2-4 years of experience driving financial partnerships and exceeding targets in more than one territory;
  • Background in strategy/management consulting, private equity or investment banking a strong plus;
  • Experience working with financial institutions in high-growth companies;
  • Strong analytical skills with affinity towards conducting detailed investigation and ability to coordinate workload;
  • Driven by outperforming yourself while being comfortable with change, being resourceful, and constantly curious to learn;
  • Exceptional great communication, emotional intelligence and sales skills;
  • Self-starter with ability to take on tasks independently and great team-player;
  • Fluent in English (both written and verbal). Fluency in German, Spanish and/or French is a strong plus.
