Tasks
The opportunity
We are looking for an infrastructure engineer who is passionate about building scalable infrastructures, services and automated systems to support the next generation of regulatory automation. You will be collaborating on high impact projects with backend engineers together with our infrastructure team.
Examples of the projects that you?ll work on include improving our git-repo?s CI/CD pipeline, managing our Kubernetes clusters, building our data pipeline and coming up with ways to provide developers better insights in their applications, and you will share on-call duties with all engineers in the company.
What you will be tasked to do:

• Administration of our existing Kubernetes clusters
• Setup multi-region/multi-vendor Kubernetes clusters with service mesh
• Automate CI/CD pipeline
• Educate engineering teams about our infrastructure
• Enhance service monitoring and make it accessible
• Evaluate new infrastructure technologies
• Give 2nd/3rd level support in case of infrastructure incidents

Requirements
What we?re looking for:

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with cloud service AWS
• Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g. Java) and one scripting language
• Passion for automation and reliable systems
• Ability to work highly autonomously
• Strong desire to learn and collaborate
• Capable of monitoring costs and security measures
• Excitement about new technologies and next generation automation
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Located and authorised to work in Switzerland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Germany or Singapore

Nice-to-have:

• Experience using gRPC
• Experience building infrastructures to support high throughput services and applications
• Experience building batch and real-time data pipelines
• Experience with Service Mesh technologies (linkered, istio, ?)
• Experience with Infrastructure As Code (Terraform, Cloudformation, ?)
• Experience with cloud services (GCP, Azure, ?)
• Experience using protocol buffers and the JVM
