BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for ?dynamic, results driven? individual to join as a Finance Analyst (Treasure & Fixed Asset Control) at our new production plant in Viana, Portugal.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Create and monitor a control system, procedures and form for recording fixed assets
  • Record acquisitions and dispositions of fixed assets in the accounting system
  • Work closely with other departments in tracking project cost versus budgeted costs
  • Conduct periodic reviews of the fixed asset schedule to determine as per provisions
  • Carry out depreciation for all fixed assets
  • Prepare internal and external audit schedules related to fixed assets and assist auditors in their investigations
  • Review and preparation of financial accounts
  • Assist in preparing budgets
  • Support of all requirements of government investment incentive programs
  • Ensure the control and follow up of the treasury situation
  • Prepare, transmit-receive and account for payment and collections
  • Make short term cash forecasts
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Ensure proof and compliance invoices: quantity, price, payment method and invoice
  • Control and account for the expenses of employees
  • Carry out accounting reconciliations
  • Ensure billing to customers and debtors
  • Support plant controller with SAP implementation.
  • Comply with safety, quality, productivity, hygiene and environmental prevention standards
  • Comply with the organization's rules and internal regulations: Code of Ethics, Practice and Schedule
  • Respect workplace safety and cleanliness rules.
  • Respect and comply with environmental policy rules
  • Perform other tasks not included in the activity for which he was hired, when the needs or convenience of the service justify it, for the period necessary for the said needs or conveniences of service.

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Accounting, Economy or Management
  • Two or more years of experience
  • IVA and IRC knowledge
  • Accounting standards good knowledge
  • SAP ERP System good knowledge
  • Good knowledge and proven capabilities in investment support programs
  • Good computer skills
  • Results Oriented
  • Interpersonal Communication
  • Fluent in English
  • Fluent in Portuguese
