OVERALL JOB PURPOSE

As an Accounting & Tax Office your responsibility will be supporting the Accounting team ensuring TMF?s clients are provided with an efficient, professional and high quality service that meets all statutory obligations. You will be responsible for the correct completion and filing of documentation, ensuring accurate accounting, and working in a timely and efficient manner to ensure successful delivery of services to clients.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

  • Supporting the successful execution of all Accounting & Tax activities for TMF?s clients, ensuring work is completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Building strong relationships with clients whilst enhancing TMF?s strong reputation
  • Providing exceptional customer service whilst being decisive, firm and empathetic with customers
  • Following ?Our Service Promise? delivery guidelines for relationship management to support recurring business
  • Ensuring accurate and concise communications with clients, seeking support from your Senior if required
  • Verifying the accuracy, completeness and consistency of accounting information received
  • Maintaining proper filing and documentation of all relevant documentations pertaining to clients
  • Extracting financial information from legal documents and processes the relevant entries
  • Draft primary documents in accordance with statutory requirements for sales, expense reports, fixed assets, inventory items and turn them over to senior staff for checking
  • Preparing support analysis of all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
  • Preparation of balance sheet and income statements and various other accounting statements and reports required by the client
  • Meeting the statutory and corporate deadlines in respect of each client
  • Providing assistance during statutory or internal audits
  • Assisting in cash management including the management of bank accounts and payment instructions
  • Supporting general team administration activities including scanning, filing and the co-ordination of document signing
  • Working closely with other teams in TMF Group
  • Adherence to TMF internal procedures and ensure compliance with TMF?s Risk and Control framework and processes. This includes ensuring the 4 eye principle is always followed
  • Assisting with resolution of Know Your Client (KYC) queries
  • Making suggestions for continuous improvement, challenging the status quo
  • Ensuring TMF Compliance procedures are complied with in a timely manner
  • Ensuring the team?s outputs are approved by clients before execution and filing
  • Ensuring all client data is managed with integrity and suitability maintained
  • Ensuring successful delivery of client work with accuracy and completeness
  • Working under the direction of a Senior, ensuring work is delivered on time
  • Ensuring customer complaints are escalated within 24 hours
  • Supporting training of interns and new staff as they join the team

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Law, Business or a closely related field is desirable, or 1-2 years relevant experience in the absence of this
  • Work experience is preferred
  • Willingness to work towards an Accounting qualification is preferable
  • Resourceful, independent and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and communication skills, with strong ability to plan ahead and organize yourself
  • Analytical structured mindset with ability to follow and build upon existing processes and ensure data is maintained with accuracy and consistency
  • Fluency in English is essential, knowledge of other languages an advantage
  • Basic MS Excel and MS Word skills are essential, with experience in Primavera ERP preferred
  • Experience in a similar role or business with good client servicing skills is preferred
