At Switch we have the challenge to build a product that it's huge and must be scalable to match the most use cases possible. Furthermore, it also needs to be reliable to process millions of transactions for some of the largest online businesses in the world, complying with extremely critical security rules.

Your role:

• Working on a fast-paced growing company that presents you with multiple challenges and opportunities to grow as a professional;
• Being a pioneer in a brand new accounting role looking for improving efficiency in the internal processes;
• Working alongside the Finance Team to ascertain revenue and issuing invoices;
• Tracking all the documents regarding receivables and accounts payable and ensure their entry in the ERP;
• Making reconciliation involving the various bank statements;
• Taking care of salary processing;
• Ensuring the fulfilment of all fiscal obligations;
• Participating in the closing of monthly and year-end financials accurately and on time and assist in future audit processes;
• Interacting closely with different teams, contributing with relevant insights;
• Working in synergy with the Finance Team to develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen the reporting and controlling tools.

Main requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related field;
• 2+ years of experience as an accountant or other similar role;
• Knowledgeable about fiscal and taxation policies;
• Basic Excel skills;
• Attention to detail and accuracy;
• Autonomy and ability to quickly absorb complex business operations;
• Motivation to work with and learn from multiple stakeholders in the complex payments industry;
• Excellent communication and written skills: ability to articulate clearly, adapting to different audiences.

Nice to have:

• Critical thinking and capability to solve complex problems, extracting and reporting information;
• Open to challenges and varied tasks;
• Previous experience working with ERP software;
• Comfortable with technology;
• Experience in the SaaS industry;
• Proficiency in English.

Hiring Process

The hiring process comprises of essentially 4 stages:

• Phone interview with HR;
• F2F or Hangouts Interview with HR and our Finance team;
• Challenge;
• Final Interview with our Finance team and CEO.
