This Financial Controller role will have a Global scope and report directly to the Head of Record to Report.

The main purpose of this role will be to act as Controller for North America Services Inc, XIK Corporate Centrals, GKN America Corp, GKN Automotive Holding Inc, SB Stokes US OPS (USA CL) and Sheepbridge (Cylinder Liners) Companies.

Key Responsibilities The key responsibilities will be :

  • Month-end controlling of companies to ensure compliance with best practice, including Group governance and reporting requirements.
  • To complete budgeting, forecasting and reporting within divisional deadlines.
  • Variance analysis on spend within functions in the appropriate reporting units.
  • Preparation of annual statutory accounts and lead on external audit.
  • Liaising with Melrose Treasury function on funding requirements including foreign currency, FX hedging

The required skills and capabilities are :

  • Proven experience in the preparation of Management Accounts, Statutory Accounts
  • Month-end controlling, Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Significant capability to
  • Strong capability to be be pro-active and self-driven
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Full proficiency with Microsoft Office knowledge including excel
  • Knowledge and experience of QAD
  • CIMA or ACCA qualification would be a plus
