At GKN Automotive we are currently recruiting for an Junior Accountant ? English speaker

The Junior Accountant role is part of the General Accounting Team will report directly to an Accountant.
This role will perform the daily accounting tasks including delivering activities for month-end, calculating and posting journals (including accruals), GL account reconciliations, posting adjustments, and supporting the Accountants to convert the GL into a trial balance.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

• Perform the daily operational accounting tasks
• Execute the period-end accounting entries by posting manual journal entries
• Process recharges (e.g., accruals, currency conversions, etc.)
• Calculate and post journals and ensure that processes are correctly followed
• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
• Perform the reconciliations of General Ledger / balance sheet accounts
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
• Support the preparation of month-end and year-end close process
• Assist with other accounting projects

The skills and capabilities we are looking for are:

• Proven experience as a junior accountant
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Full proficiency with Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
• Familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. ERP Systems)
• Fluency in English, spoken and written. Any other language could be a plus.
