Credit Transaction Management (CTM) is a dedicated Operating Line within CIB ITO. Its function is to ensure a 1st level of defence within CIB through an independent reporting, monitoring and control (a priori & a posteriori) of the risks taken by CIB on corporate clients applied on the entire credit chain from Front Office support to ITO Servicing.

A redesign of the CTM Target Operating Model has taken place to improve client satisfaction and turnaround time.

During 2020, ITO Global Credit Operations (GCO) has successfully launched two support hubs in Portugal to serve credit management activities for selected sites across Europe. To leverage on the success of this transformation, the scope of hubs will increase and more activities transferred to Portugal.

Your Main Activities Are

  • Review the Credit Committee minutes and draft the contract(s) using the standard templates supplied by the Front Office and/or Legal department

  • Liaise with the Front Office and/or Legal department to review the contract(s) drafts before sending to the client

  • Performance a priori Conformity Controls over the drafted ?standard? Facility and Collateral Contracts to ensure their compliance with the credit decision, approved by the Bank's credit committee

  • Timely communicating of all non-conformities to the ITO CTM/Contracting Team in order to launch the corrections

  • Work collaboratively with Front Office, Credit Analysts, the Deal Implementation Team to take over the Security Package after closing of the deal

  • Collect the exhaustive Legal documentation for a deal (Financing documents, Security Package documents, Legal opinions)

  • Analyse Security Package documents to identify the ones eligible (according to current regulations and procedures) for registration and accurately map them with the Bank Nomenclatures, with the assistance of Internal Legal Department if necessary

  • Read and interpret Security documents to structure the data for system inputs

  • Create deals in the IT Tool Received Guarantee Module (RGM) and input the Security Package data

  • Issue instructions for booking within Local Credit systems

  • Update periodically Security Package data (valuation, maturity dates ?)

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Law, Economics, Business Management or Accounting

  • Knowledge on credit processes is preferable

  • Paralegal Experience is desirable

  • Written and oral fluency in English is essential

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Good understanding of Financial products

  • Good understanding of risk concepts and methodologies is preferable

  • Strong interpersonal skills (display good relationship qualities, team spirit, and ability to work across teams)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Good time-management skills

  • Desire to learn about the characteristics of the specialized financings and especially their legal aspects through legal documentation

  • Flexibility to adapt to a new and changing environment

  • Good skills in Excel
