For our Shared Services Center - Cardif Services - We are currently seeking an Auditor/Controller - Finance Internal Control - International Management Oversight - Permanent contract - (M/F) ? Good English level, this position will be based in Porto - Portugal.

Main Functions:

Within "Standards, Controls and IFRS Projects?, the team oversees & controls the Finance 2nd Line of Defense of the entities within its scope (a portfolio of 40 countries).
In particular, the auditor / Internal Controller will as a member of this team:

Ensure the review of Internal Control processes impacting the Finance Department in order to identify risks and ensure their correct assessment. In particular, he / she makes sure:

  • that the key processes have been identified and reviewed within its scope;
  • the existence of an analysis and assessment of residual risks.

Contribute to the development and improvement of a relevant internal control system that complies with the requirements of the BNP Paribas Group and BNP Paribas Cardif and in line with the new Finance Charter.

Guarantee the deployment of procedures applicable to the Business:

  • Disseminate and assist in the implementation of Group Finance procedures;
  • Check the correct application of the implemented procedures;

Ensure the updating of procedures.

Produce high-quality summaries and reports for BNPP Cardif and the BNP Paribas Group within the set deadlines and the requested format.

Carry out on-site control missions in international entities as needed.

Ensure the correct follow-up by the local Finance teams of the recommendations issued by the Statutory Auditors.

Ensure the correct follow-up by the local Finance teams of the Finance recommendations issued by Internal Audit or General Inspection.

Follow the relations with the Statutory Auditors on the entities of the international scope; Monitor audit fees, participate in their negotiations and ensure that their development complies with Group procedure; Monitor non-audit assignments and ensure respect for the independence of the Statutory Auditors.

Contribute to the analysis and monitoring of significant Finance incidents declared by operational staff;

Train the internatinal entities' teams on the first and second line of defense in the specifics of the internal control system;

Identify and pool know-how for dissemination and assistance to international entities;

Develop the reference framework for the internal control system by participating in the definition of guidelines and good practices.

Contribute to carrying out ad hoc studies at the request of his/her manager.


Qualifications Required:

  • Master?s Degree from a Business School or University closely related to the Finance industry
  • Auditing experience (ideally at least 3 years of experience)
  • Financial / accounting
  • Fluent English (mandatory) / Good level of French (preferred)
  • Knowledge and experience of financial services (preferably insurance business).
