Business Analyst / Project Manager - Identity
We?re looking for a Business Analyst / Project Manager who can support the Identity team in delivering seamless access, robust authentication services and intuitive identification experiences across Springer Nature?s digital products.

SN Digital (SND) is a technology division of Springer Nature. We are responsible for maintaining and delivering millions of articles used by researchers, scientists and students around the globe.

About The Job
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Business Analyst to help us build the best products that enable the research community to advance the progress and understanding of science. Our customer-centric approach is fundamental to the way we work.
The Identity team creates an intuitive identification experience, enabling all our customers to access Springer Nature online products and platforms seamlessly. From submitting papers to accessing our online digital content and services, we aim to provide personalised experiences and marketing tailored to our customer?s needs.
The Identity team is responsible for the access and authentication services used across Springer Nature?s digital estate. The team looks after login, registration, and authentication flows for SN?s significant customer and user base, from academic librarians who manage access for thousands of staff to individual students starting on their research journey. In addition, the Identity team interacts with all groups across SN Digital to ensure users can access all of our products and services and teams from within the wider SN business, such as Customer Support, sales, data protection and legal.
The team needs a Business Analyst and Project Manager to facilitate and run ceremonies, workshops, and other activities, manage communications and relationships with stakeholders across the business and perform the team?s day-to-day responsibilities.
You will be joining a cross-functional delivery team with different nationalities, backgrounds and experience levels. All team members collaborate to deliver solutions that best satisfy the needs of our business, and we are working to create a culture that encourages new ideas and innovation but within the boundaries of the technologies that best suit the vision that Springer Nature has defined.
About You

What you will be doing;
Within 3 Months, you will:
Ensure team ceremonies are conducted regularly and add value to the delivery process.
Have an understanding of the team?s context in the broader business.
Have developed relationships with core stakeholders.
Be familiar with the Identity technology stack.
Can plan, organise and lead workshops that generate ideas and resolve problems.
Can unearth the root cause(s) of pain points and validate business opportunities and problems the Identity team needs to help to solve.
Be an active participant of the Business Analyst and Project Manager communities.
By 3-6 months, you will:
Have a clear plan of the team?s priorities and be able to communicate this to stakeholders.
Be able to monitor, track and communicate progress, risks and issues to stakeholders.
Be able to prioritise competing demands and obtain buy-in from stakeholders.
Map, analyse and validate information flows from Identity to and from the rest of SN?s digital estate.
Gauge the complexity or scope of a piece of work, collaboratively breaking it into smaller pieces as appropriate.
By 6-12 months, you will:
Onboard new members to the team or help other teams in the onboarding process.
Able to gauge the complexity or scope of a piece of work, breaking it into smaller pieces when appropriate.
Define and implement non-functional requirements.
Contribute to the design of the system architecture.
Triage support queries and diagnose issues in the live applications.
Contribute to blameless post-mortems.
Understand our customers? needs, both internal and external, and how your work affects their experience.
Give and receive constructive feedback within your team.
Day to day responsibilities
As part of an Agile product team, day-to-day, you will:
Run or facilitate ceremonies such as our daily stand-ups, planning, prioritisation and steering sessions, story kickoffs, collaborative analysis and design workshops, showcases to internal customers and regular retrospectives.
Work with our many and varied stakeholders to understand, analyse and plan in new work.
Support the Identity team members in problem-solving activities to remove blockers and complete agreed-upon work.
