Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification in finance or economics; MBA from a reputed academic institution
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience in European banking domain across other consulting firms, Tier 1 e-commerce players, banks or reputed Fintech players
  • Strong understanding of banking concepts and in-depth knowledge of financial products and/or banking operations; sound knowledge of industry issues and competitive trends
  • Superior problem-solving, analytical and quantitative skills
  • Professional attitude and service orientation
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Willing to work in a highly demanding and result-oriented team environment
  • Entrepreneurial and self-starters who enjoy the challenges and rewards of research work in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in German or French language

You will be based in our Lisbon office as part of the Panorama Financial Institutions and Insights consulting team (PFIC), within our Client Capabilities Network. Colleagues in our global Client Capabilities Networkdeliver distinctive client impact through assets and expertise and are driven by a culture of innovation. PFIC is one of the largest knowledge and analytics teams globally and part of the FIG practice, with ~200 members and a global footprint across 20+ countries, focusing on financial services domains, e.g. retail banking, corporate & investment banking, wealth & asset management, Fintech and insurance.

What You'll Do

You will support consulting teams on client engagements with research requirements on banking related topics. In this role, you will consolidate data across multiple sources, developing unique perspectives, creating client ready materials and other tasks as needs arise. You will conduct primary and secondary research within the banking domain using proprietary and third-party data sources. You will be responsible for packaging research findings in the form of client ready end products such as PowerPoint presentations and/or financial models. Over time, you will develop expertise in a specific area within banking and drive research and development of new knowledge as well as contribute to broader knowledge development and proprietary assets. Additionally, you will contribute as an active member of the global PFIC community and develop relationships around the globe to build on your knowledge and provide support to the broader network as needed. There is flexibility to hire at either the Junior Capabilities & Insights Analyst or Capabilities & Insights Analyst level, depending on the qualifications of the candidate.
