LOCATION: You will be working remotely using the tools, systems and platforms provided by Teacher Horizons.

TEACHER HORIZONS: Teacher Horizons is a fast-growing international community of teachers, leaders and schools. Teachers use us to explore job opportunities at international schools and get personalised career advice and support. Schools use us to promote their vacancies and access our growing community of over 300,000 teachers.

SUMMARY: We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated person with lots of initiative and energy to lead on our community development and marketing. Your role will be to build and grow our community and manage our Community Growth Team. This is a key role in the organisation with the potential to develop significantly as the organisation grows.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead on marketing and communications (both online and offline).
  • Develop and implement new marketing and digital strategies.
  • Oversee and be responsible for the content of the website, newsletter, blog and social media content on our LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram pages.
  • Manage those involved in the marketing team and assist with hiring when necessary.
  • Lead on the development of the community section of our school profile pages (eg our Ambassador strategy).
  • Design and implement a monthly ?Community newsletter?.
  • Use a data-driven approach to help improve existing site content, develop new content, build links, improve page ranks, and drive more traffic to www.teacherhorizons.com.
  • Help develop engaging online marketing content and campaigns such as photo competitions, videos, graphics, and blogs.
  • Attend team meetings and coordinate with the CEO and other colleagues.
  • Develop and manage link building strategies, content marketing strategies, and social media presence.
  • Manage PR and campaigns (eg 10 year anniversary).
  • Coordinate offline marketing materials such as brochures, business cards, etc.
  • Grow the community by building relationships with influential people within the industry, e.g. influencers

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent data analytical skills
  • Leadership skills
  • Previous experience as a Community Manager or Marketing Manager
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Have a BA/BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field
  • Previous experience in digital marketing
  • Ability to interpret website traffic and online customer engagement metrics
  • Knowledge of online marketing and marketing channels
  • Excellent written communication in English
  • An excellent understanding of SEO
  • Proactive approach with a growth mindset
  • Ability to work flexibly and to be adaptable
  • Strong sense of personal integrity and buy in to Teacher Horizons? values and vision
  • A confident, resilient and positive person with a ?can-do? attitude who is able to overcome setbacks

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz for performing link analysis, keyword research, and competitor analysis.
  • An understanding / experience of international education
  • Experience of international travel and experience promoting locations
  • Experience with Google Analytics or a similar web analytics service
  • Experience with WordPress or a similar blogging system

CONTRACT: The initial contract will be for one year (full time) with a likelihood it will be extended if both parties agree.
