BNP Paribas Internal Control framework is organized around 3 lines of defence, under the accountability of the management Body in its management function and the oversight of the management Body in its supervisory function ((DG0020 Internal Control Charter).
The first two layers are responsible for the permanent control framework, while the 3rd layer (LoD3) is responsible for the periodic control framework that is the verification and assessment function that operates according to a dedicated audit cycle
The Functions embodied within the LoD2, are accountable, by delegation from the management Body in its management function, for the organization and the sound functioning of the risk monitoring framework and its compliance with laws and regulations over a whole set of domains.
The 1st Line of Defence is at CIB level (LoD1), whether it is directly related to the business (FO), a function (Finance, HR or IT) or accompanying the business (Operations)
Your Main Activities Are
Identify and assess of risks and controls (Risk and Control Self-Assessment)
Identify and monitor of operational mitigating factors
Identify procedures needs
Ensure that the procedures designed by the businesses and functions within the Operating
Identify, update, properly store and communicated to relevant stakeholders of entities
Identify and propose calibration of OE?s procedures according to the outcome of the risk assessment and other risk events
Find, Recommend and maintain a permanent control
Upon notification/receipt of reports, organize the design and the publication of the follow-up of the findings and recommendations closure, either issued internally (e.g. IG supervision) or externally (external auditors, supervisors)
Manage of historical incidents
Ensure the employee?s awareness on policies and procedures
Act as a local relay for risk awareness initiatives sponsored by 2nd LoD control functions
Profile and Skills to Success
Experience in Operations, Operational Risk Management, Audit, Consulting or in Compliance area
Knowledge of products, operational processes and risk sensitive
Experience in OPC is a plus
Good communication skills (English is mandatory)
Good PowerPoint skills
Ability to report
Analytical skills
