Activity Outline:
Collaboration in activities: Requirements analysis of audio / speech processing system; Design and development of embedded signal processing systems; Prototype construction and testing in operational and relevant conditions; Collaboration in technological dissemination actions.

The tasks can be adjusted depending on its feasibility in the project. All changes implying the grant holder´s work in other tasks will be submitted to prior approval of the funding authority ? AICEP.)
Legislation and regulations: Law Nº. 40/2004, of 18th August, in its current wording (Statutes of Scientific Research Fellow) Regulation of Research Grants of Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, in force ( https://www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/regulamento.phtml.pt) and Regulation of Research Grants of University of Porto.
Work place: The work will developed at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), under the scientific supervision of Professors Rui Araújo, and Diamantino Freitas.
Grant duration: Initial duration of 12 months, with starting date predicted to July 2021, on exclusive basis regime, eventually renewable but never exceeding the project duration.
Stipend: The grant stipend amounts to 1104,64? according to the table of values of the grants awarded by FCT, I.P. in the Country (https://www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores). The payment will be made by bank transfer.
Selection procedure:
(a) Master degree in the area - 10 points (weighted by final grade), Master degree in similar or related area ? 5 points (weighted by final grade).
(b) Experience in Signal processing and control systems, Audio or speech processing, ICT system development up to 1 year ? 2 points, Experience in Signal processing and control systems, Audio or speech processing, ICT system development more than 1 year ? 5 points.
(c) 1 publication in the area ? 2 points, More than 1 publication in the area ? 5 points.
The 4 candidates with highest curricular assessment will be selected for an interview (30%)
The final evaluation results from the weighted sum of the valuation of the factors listed above.
